Inspiration for my work comes from a diverse range of visual stimuli. Many of the works begin as I reflect and remember intriguing elements observed daily in my surroundings, both natural and synthetic. Combining colors and shapes pulled from these influences, I seek to create an image that is a mixture of reflections presented as a designed memory. The process of making my work evolves and happens intuitively as I make visual connections between elements by applying and removing components, segments and pieces in both a spontaneous and controlled manner. My goal is to create a dynamic surface that is spatially activated by the layering of these elements.
